Jessica Fields has always been drawn to the rich, intricate designs of ancient jewelry. She began making her own creations in high school. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in English Literature and working several years in New York’s publishing industry, Fields returned to her first passion and continued her goldsmithing studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She then went to work for jewelers Reinstein/Ross, while starting work on her own line.
In addition to running her jewelry business, fields teaches classed in design and fabrication as well as working as a consultant at companies such as Liz Claiborne, Kenneth Cole, Monet Jewelry, Lucky and Ellen Tracy.
Her work is influenced by historical jewelry, in particular nature-inspired Classical Greek designs and ecclesiastic patterns of the European Renaissance. All of the pieces presented in this collection are hand worked by skilled artisans, who share a passion fro crafting the finest quality jewelry from 18 karat gold, precious and semi-precious gemstones.
