They are totally light fast and the photo is sunk into each pendant and is covered with a thick protective acrylic coating to stand up to everyday wear. However, they do not advise wearing the pendant while showering or swimming. Sterling silver, the pendant measures 7/8" in diameter. Handcrafted in USA. Orders take approx. 4 weeks for delivery and are not returnable or exchangeable. Photos (which should be the original digital file) can be emailed to sales@clay-pot.com once the order is placed. Your photos can be color or black and white but will be converted to black and white. Choose photos with clear images (faces on simple backgrounds look best). Faces on your picture should be at least as big (or bigger) than the finished pendant as images improve if they need to shrink them to fit the pendant. The image can become blurry if they need to enlarge it. You can also use a coin or circle template to help you imagine how it will look on the pendant.
