Artist's Biography ~
Fred Koch of Manfred Studios attributes his inspiration of crafting high-quality jewelry to the enameling and designs of Fabergé, Lalique and Bulgari. Koch has been a goldsmith for over 20 years and first discovered his passion for jewelry in his home of Austria. He became a United States citizen in 1999 and continues to perfect his craft out of his studio Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Koch's work has a simple beauty with complex sophistication and seems better suited for a museum than on a finger or chain. His line is not just a collection of jewelry, but a celebration of art and goldsmithing. Wearers enjoy the innovative juxtaposition of gold and platinum against colored enamel.
