Artist's Biography ~
Carol Ackerman, originally hailing from Toronto, Canada, studied gemology before setting down to work at the jeweler's bench in 1986. Her work divides between feminine botanical motifs and more contemporary designs. She enjoys incorporating gemstone beads and very fine colored gemstone including tanzanite, tourmaline, spinel, and multi-colored sapphires into her current pieces. The effect is a dazzling array of elegance, modern edge, and delicate femininity. Ackerman creates a brand new collection every two years and is constantly trying new pieces and techniques. She is a master at custom designs and is proud to have incorporated many family heirlooms into modern rings.
