Her lifelong attraction for unusual stones led her to enroll in jewelry design at the University of Kansas before attending the New York Jewelry Institute to refine her skills in technical metalsmithing. In 2004, she personally developed a signature texturing technique called glaciering to give a new element of depth to her designs.

Jamie has an affinity for drawing out the personality of stones through hand-cutting and faceting unique pieces from raw slabs. Her gradation of color and flawless detailing sets her work apart from traditional jewelry making. Jamie strives to balance her pieces' movement, asymmetry, texture and luminosity. Her jewelry focuses on maintaining the natural integrity and organic appeal of extraordinary stones.

Jamie and her husband, Jeremy, work together to unearth the elegant beauty of raw stones, sales, creating custom displays and showcasing their work through trade and trunk shows. Her work has earned accolades from Vogue, Elle, In Style and Lucky. In 2004, W Magazine featured Jamie as a designer to watch and in 2005 Seattle Magazine named her Jewelry Designer of the Year.
