Designer Akiko Fuchigama started her career in the Public Relations department of Issey Miyake International Inc. in charge of the TSUMORI CHISATO brand in Tokyo. Akiko left Japan in 1993 to live in London, Paris and finally New York, where she studied Advertising & Communications at FIT. While working in these fields, she studied jewelry making as a healing exercise in 2000. Since her first trunk show in 2003 where she won praise from art and fashion professionals, her jewelry is loved by sophisticated buyers in the US, Japan and Europe.
